Short Film Production

Tickets to My Family, Week 5-7 (11-23/2/2023)

After her mother’s passing, Liu Yiren and her brothers were left to be raised by her abusive and misogynistic father whom she spends the last decade of her life trying to seek approval.

This film is inspired by my experiences at home. It is about a dysfunctional family and their daughter pursuing her dream, whilst trying to find her place in her family. Against all odds and all her struggles, she manages to prove everyone wrong. We wanted to portray the daily distraught someone in this position feels, in hopes that people will get to feel, sympathise and avert the negative behaviours in the film.
